Financial services companies in Mexico
ISIC section K: Financial and insurance activities. 41,272 records from the INEGI DENUE, 41,272 active, data as of 2026-05-20.
Mexico's INEGI DENUE lists 41,272 companies in financial and insurance activities (ISIC section K), all of them active, which is 4.9% of all Mexican records in the LatSouth build (data as of 2026-05-20). By state, Ciudad de México leads with 3,710 (9% of the section), followed by México (3,435) and Jalisco (2,935). The largest divisions are 64 (financial service activities, except insurance and pension funding, 33,194) and 66 (activities auxiliary to financial service and insurance activities, 5,405); one further division completes it.
The operating institutions are a minority of this section: holding companies (ISIC 6420) and investment funds and trusts (6430) make up most of division 64 in Brazil, Chile and Peru. The LATAM Financial Services package removes those two classes; on this page the counts include them. Banks, credit co-operatives, payment institutions, brokers, insurers and asset managers are what payments infrastructure, KYC/AML, core-banking and insurtech vendors come here for. In Mexico, 79% of these rows carry an ISIC class; size is known for 100%; 50.6% have a declared website or corporate domain; 10,165 were registered in the 12 months before the extraction. Mexican rows are establishments of private legal entities from the DENUE 05/2026 edition; chains appear once per location.
