About · an independent data studio based in Brazil

We turn Latin American company registries into data teams outside the region can use.

LatSouth is a small, independent data studio based in Sorocaba, Brazil, founded in 2026. We build and sell company datasets from the official registries of seven countries, in English, with the personal data removed.

Purpose

Why this exists

Every country in the region publishes its company registry as open data, and almost nobody outside the region can use it: dozens of zipped files per country, latin-1 encodings, Portuguese and Spanish column names, six industry classifications, millions of natural persons mixed in, and no status flag in some of them. Teams entering Latin America either buy expensive, thin coverage from global vendors or spend weeks decoding the dumps.

We do the decoding once a month, for all seven, and publish the result in one English schema with the counts, the sources and the limits in the open. The rule that shapes every decision is that the product is company data: the people behind the companies are not for sale here, and the pipeline is built so they cannot leak in.

Principles

How we work

Official sources only

Bulk files from the agencies' own servers, verified by byte and hash; no scraping, no purchased lists, no crowd-sourced contacts.

Measured, not claimed

Every count on this site is a query on the current build; every filter is published; every limitation is on the country page before the price.

Small by design

A pseudonymous studio with a public e-mail and a postal line, no sales team, one business day to answer, and an integrity guarantee instead of marketing promises.

Boundaries

What we do not do

  • No people data: no decision-maker names, no personal mobiles, no LinkedIn enrichment. Bring your own enrichment stack; we give it the domains and identifiers.
  • No intent data and no fake social proof: no testimonials, no logos, no 'trusted by'. The samples and the counts are the proof.
  • No exclusivity claims on open data: the registries are public; what you buy is the work.
